From the very first class, Lucy has been excited for her class even though it means she has to wake up earlier for school. She has grown in both reading skills and in confidence.
Lucy is every bit as amazed as I am. She just keeps saying that she never knew that reading could be so fun.
He is still loving the program. I thought he might resist doing it now that he is back to school in‐person but he is happy to log on after school every day. He is really liking his new coach. Denise is really wonderful with the kids.
Audrey really loved Savvy Reading this summer! It has been a great way to encourage reading in an enjoyable, approachable way. I’m super grateful for the program.
Can I just say how super impressed I am with Savvy? Ivena reads nonstop and is such a confident reader. No way this homeschooling mom could have gotten her to this point myself. I hadn’t realized how much she has advanced in such a short time. I’m so proud!
Catherine has been loving Savvy! She watched her sister do Savvy for a year, and was so excited to start it for herself. She's been counting down the days until she had enough coins to get a reward for herself. Thanks for all the hard work you do behind the scenes!
Charlie's been loving Savvy this summer. Her teacher is so patient with her and always has so much energy. Please send Cierra our thanks for all she's doing to help get Charlie up in the morning for learning. We really appreciate all she's doing!
Clearly your program works very well because she has gone from not even knowing all her letter sounds to reading chapter books independently in just under a year. The only problem I have now is finding books that are at her reading level but not way above her age (5) level content wise ha!
Eden is enjoying Savvy! We’ve noticed that she’s reading a lot more on her own because she genuinely enjoys it. That’s a win!
Eleanor LOVES Savvy. Her teacher, Sara, is fantastic. She is so patient and encouraging and Eleanor is learning so much from her. The rewards are such a clever addition to the program. Both of my daughters love to browse the options and are highly motivated by the coins. Thank you for a great experience!
He is definitely thriving in reading because of Savvy. My husband and even Emiliano have seen how much his reading fluency and comprehension has improved tremendously. It’s not something that he complains about getting on for a lesson. He knows that it continues to help him improve.
He loves his Savvy time. We have been amazed how there is never a complaint, even when we have been on vacation. Best of all we have seen the benefits as his reading and comprehension scores show him on grade level for the first time in two years!!!! We have nothing but praise for Savvy.
He really loves his Savvy Reading class each day. In car rides he will teach me the ASL signs he has learned, or ask me about which ones he’s forgotten (and I never remember the answer so we have to look it up). We are so glad we signed him up!
I just wanted to thank Ms. Chelsea. She is so patient with the kids and my daughter looks forward to Savvy each morning with her. Ms. Chelsea has taught Summer so much in such a short period of time.
Joanna is really enjoying Savvy and we are thrilled with her progress! Thanks to you and the team for providing such a wonderful experience learning to read.
Juliette has been loving Savvy - her kindergarten teacher can really tell that she is understanding how to read on a different level than a lot of her classmates and we are absolutely thrilled by that!
Lizzie has loved Savvy Reading, and overall I am very pleased with the program. The weekly recaps are super helpful, and I use some of it with her for spelling practice too!
Savvy is going well for him. He does work very diligently and it has helped him immensely with reading in school. He now reads with confidence and ease at his level.
Thank you for inspiring Benson to read. He now offered to read which never happened before. Savvy has made a huge difference in his confidence.
We’ve loved it this summer and I tell all my friends about it:) All my kids are going into school this year with so much more confidence.

He is LOVING Savvy Math and is so sad about the evenings he has to miss it, which shows how enjoyable a class it is for my little math lover.
Savvy Math is going really well for him and I can already tell it is really helping him in school.

“I love logging on to Savvy Reading because it was so fast every day. I became the best in my class and got a reading award.”

“Progress still blows my mind”
“We started with y’all at the very beginning when he was barely on reading level in 1st grade. A year later, he is in the top reading group in his class, way beyond grade level, and always a book in his hands. He will now choose to read hours at a time. His 8th birthday is coming up, and I was reminiscing with him last night about how he got a lot of Elephant & Piggie books for his 7th birthday, because those were just challenging enough for him at the time, and he liked the stories. Now he is easily reading middle grade novels by choice, and that progress still blows my mind. And his birthday wish list this year is filled to the brim with books. Thank you for creating Savvy!”
“We highly recommend Savvy Learning!”
"My daughter Violet (6) is a great reader but a summer can be a long time to go without instruction when you are at this stage of learning. My daughter and I could not be more pleased with our experience with Savvy learning. My daughter’s lessons were fantastic - professional, chock full of learning but also fun. My daughter really loved her teacher who was always there promptly, was always friendly, and always encouraging. My daughter never thought of her classes as a mom imposed obligation- she was always enthusiastic to sign on. We found the interface to be a piece of cake - my daughter could easily get on from her IPad all on her own. And lastly, the care in the customer service is greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Savvy learning and will be back for more lessons in the future. Thank you Savvy!" - Vanessa
“He's been excited every day to do Savvy.”
"Caleb has loved it. His school was virtual most of last year and he missed a lot of direct reading instruction so this was perfect for us. He didn't like virtual learning at all but he's been excited every day to do Savvy. He didn't read on his own for fun at all when he started Savvy in January but he has carried around books all summer to pick up and read throughout the day. We went camping with friends and he spent an hour or more each day reading to the other kids! We also flew a few weeks ago to visit family (3 hours each way) and he quietly read in the airport and the entire duration of the flights. It's been so awesome!"
“He is reading for fun now!”
“Peter has loved Savvy Reading and it has been the perfect summer reading program for him. It has accomplished what I had hoped it would‐ he is reading for fun now! Finding him curled up with a book makes me so happy! Savvy has helped him gain confidence in his reading abilities and helped him see that reading is a fun activity. Miss Cortney has done such a wonderful job of making class fun and helping my somewhat rambunctious child focus and participate and look forward to class."
“It has calmed so many of my nerves.”
"I just wanted to thank you for creating such a fabulous program. It has calmed so many of my nerves in sending my kindergartener to school, knowing he has his Savvy teacher to supplement where I feel his current school is lacking. (He’s faced with an overcrowded, masked teaching environment each day.) Savvy reading has been the solution to a heavy educational dilemma for our family— a perfect fit for a learner that requires individual attention to grasp concepts well."
“Instilled a love of reading in my child!”
“My 4yo has gone from just starting to sound out CVC words to fluently reading picture books over the course of the summer thanks to Savvy Reading. But even more importantly, he spends his days sitting and reading books for fun and the other day he told me “I LOVE being able to read books by myself!” Thank you so much for this amazing reading program that has instilled a love of reading in my child!! I will be eternally grateful.”
“Hearing him WANT to take a turn was the best thing.”
"I was so excited yesterday afternoon when during the lesson I overheard him asking to be first to read and then (obnoxiously) doing it again later on in the lesson. This is HUGE. He has been a reluctant reader and I've read multiple times about how Savvy works to turn kids into book worms. What you're doing is working so well and it feels like he's made huge strides in his abilities. Hearing him WANT to take a turn was the best thing that happened that day - and possibly for the week. As a person who would rather sit with a book over most other things (a good meal with loved ones obviously takes priority), this turn for Parker makes me so happy. It was even better when I shared this with my husband (one who still isn't a confident reader) as his joy in this news was clear. Thank you for all you're doing to help Parker and igniting the fire for him to start to love reading."
“She has jumped over a grade level this year.”
"Maia is enjoying Savvy, and is realizing that she’s starting to do more challenging reading. It took her a very long time to start making real progress, and I’m certain Savvy has made a huge difference in getting her there. She is in Grade 3(in Canada) and in November this year was assessed at Fountas and Pinnell Level E, which is a mid Grade 1 reading level. She had so far to go. I spoke with her teacher last week and her latest assessment was F&P level L!! Level L is end of Grade 2/beginning Grade 3. So she has jumped over a grade level this year. We’re so happy and she is finally beginning to find joy in learning to read. We’ll continue with Savvy until she’s at reading level and completely independent. I’m looking forward to starting my Kindergartener this summer."
“We’ve had such a good all-around experience with Savvy!”
"I just wanted to share an enthusiastic review for my daughter’s Savvy Reading coach, Francesca. She is wonderful. Upbeat, inclusive, fun, and prepared. My daughter looks forward to her lessons everyday and has made so much progress. Both my husband and I have been very impressed by coach Franchy. My daughter was in class with coach Rosemary before this and we felt similarly impressed with her. We’ve had such a good all-around experience with Savvy!"
“Noticing a consistent improvement in Lincoln’s reading ability.”
"I wanted to pass on that Lincoln's Reading Intervention teacher and his reading teacher both are noticing a consistent improvement in Lincoln’s reading ability, reporting that he is able to decode words more quickly and accurately than last year. Savvy has been a big part of his success as we are still hard pressed to get him to read with us after school. He has, surprisingly, a few times last week, been found reading a Dog Man book to himself, which is highly unusual for him to do. He even brought it into a store and was reading while we were walking around. Maybe it was a one time occurrence, but it was nice to see him expressing any interest in reading independently. He has asked on several occasions to be able to do two Savvy calls a day. I think he is mostly motivated by earning points but he says he also really likes his calls. Kudos to Savvy for building a program and finding coaches who engage a kid who was very reluctant to read at all."
“He was very self motivated and engaged when it came to Savvy”
"Savvy has been an absolutely positive experience for Colin. He was very self motivated and engaged when it came to Savvy (he really dragged his heels with anything related to reading we as his parents tried doing with him…especially remote learning most of last year) which was huge for us because we wanted him to have an experience with reading that he really enjoyed and looked forward to. When he started Savvy in the spring he was two reading levels behind in Fountas‐Pinnel, but by the end of the year he was on track level wise (although still lagging a bit in fluency). It was so nice having the consistency of Savvy during the summer where we feel like his reading skills are still advancing to help prevent the summer slide. Owen is really looking forward to starting Savvy in a few weeks. Our children’s school district actually started offering free reading tutoring through BookNook, which we had Owen participating in. Just between you and me, Savvy blew BookNook out of the water in every way. Savvy’s curriculum is 1000000X more engaging than BN and the user platform is 1000% easier to use. I could go on and on about how much we love Savvy. We would definitely highly recommend it to anyone looking to give their child a reading boost. Thanks again for all your help."
“It has been such a positive experience!”
"I have wanted to write for a long time but did not know who to contact. Ben loves Savvy Reading. Like much of the country, he did virtual kindergarten last year. As a teacher (currently on pause to stay home) myself, I realized that Ben would need to maintain progress with his brand new reading skills over the summer. However, after a year of online learning, where I was his primary guide, we had reached a limit. I asked him if he wanted me to continue to teach him or someone else. His instant reply was, "someone else." We signed up for Savvy soon after. I am so pleased to have a way for him to continue his reading journey. However, more importantly I am ecstatic that he loves reading class! He enjoys his time with Ms. Walker so much that when school started up for the fall he asked if we could continue! It has been such a positive experience! I can't tell enough people how much I recommend Savvy Reading."
“He was excited each day to get on Savvy”
“In January of 2021, James came to me with tears in his eyes. He said that he had finished thinking about his 2021 goals but he didn't know how he was going to make them. I asked him what they were and then he really started crying and said, I want to learn to read but I just can't. That is when I knew I had to sign him up for Savvy. I signed him up that same week. Within a couple of months he was on grade level and by the end of the school year he was above grade level. He loved his coach so much and would also show her what books he was reading and was excited each day to get on Savvy.”
“ He almost went up an entire reading level in one summer”
“We did Savvy all summer. Between the pandemic and some weather issues in Louisiana (a historic hurricane AND winter storm), my son missed a dozen or more days of kindergarten… On top of the fact that he has an articulation disorder and just got caught up with speech. He was “right where he needed to be” (according to teacher) when Kinder ended but I was afraid of the summer slide. We are so glad we did Savvy, he almost went up an entire reading level (from AR’s scale of .5 to 1.4!!!!!) in one summer. WORTH EVERY PENNY. So first grade has been an easy review so far, and I am confident that we are ready for accelerated learning to begin!”
“I feel like this program has been an answer to prayer”
"Gwenaëlle is loving it and is excited to keep it up through the school year. She's been a reluctant reader and while she's not super behind, she ended 2nd grade at a beginning 2nd grade reading level. Even being a little behind makes a big difference at this stage of her education and savvy reading has been just what she needs to help her feel more confident and be more inclined to pick up a book and read on her own. Honestly I feel like this program has been an answer to prayer."
“He especially likes the Savvy Super stories because they are really fun”
"He has really loved Savvy! I never have to remind him to log on because he always looks forward to his lessons. As a parent, we love that it is four days a week because we feel the consistency has really helped his reading progress (and is much less of a drag than when mom and dad are getting after him to do similar reading exercises). Colin says he especially likes the Savvy Super stories because they are really fun. He also loves his teacher and the savvy coins were super motivating for him (especially at first when he wasn’t sure that a reading program could be so fun). We would definitely highly recommend Savvy!"
“It’s amazing the quality of support that you provide”
"Inez, as well as my son, Emiliano are thriving in their reading and comprehension thanks to Savvy! Inez has started Kinder with confidence. My son just tested out of ELD and is on the road to not needing his resource teacher at school. This would not have been possible if not for your program. I share their success with anyone that I can. My niece signed up and is doing well too. My cousins will be signing up soon as well! It’s amazing the quality of support that you provide. We are so grateful."
“We look forward to coming back after the holidays!”
"Jude has really progressed in his reading skills thanks to her support (and patience for his excitement to share, share, share). It was a big transition for him this fall going back to in-person school after a few years of virtual and homeschooling. We credit his coach & Savvy with setting him up to be a confident reader and problem solver in his new environment. We also greatly appreciate how supportive his coach has been as the transition impacted his energy and focus levels. We look forward to coming back after the holidays!"
“I am so happy with how well organized the program is”
"Kate and Claire are really enjoying Savvy reading, honestly, much to my surprise! Reading is a struggle and we are trying to catch up to grade level. Both girls have been consistent with their attendance this summer and so far into the school year. They improved two reading levels over the summer, and their current English teacher was very pleased. As a parent, I am so happy with how well organized the program is. We will be beginning Savvy math in October."
“Savvy really works and I just want to say thank you!”
"To all the Savvy Reading coaches & support staff, Thank you so much for the important and hard work you do. It has made a HUGE difference in my children's lives. John started Savvy at the beginning of the summer along with his siblings. We wanted to prevent summer loss and continue growing. Today we received his 1st test scores in Kindergarten and were BLOWN AWAY! He scored a 926 (99th percentile) on the STAR early literacy test! and got a 26/26 on recognizing, naming and telling the sounds of all the upper and lowercase letters. Savvy really works and I just want to say thank you!"
